ABOUT NORTH FARM NURSERY
We are a family run wholesale plant production nursery based in West Sussex with over 40 years experience supplying a range of high quality plants to the wholesale horticulture, landscape and retail sectors, in formats ranging in size from 9cm liners up to 15 litres. Our speciality is Phormiums and Cordylines, but we also produce a range of perennials and shrubs, as well as bedding, basket plants, alpines, herbs and vegetables which we can supply to local retail outlets via our van delivery service. We also have extensive experience contract growing larger quantities of ornamental shrubs and bedding for supply to other nurseries, wholesalers and retailers.

OUR HISTORY
North Farm Nursery began in the 1980s, when Allan and Tracey Hutchings started growing material taken from cuttings for sale in local markets. From there they expanded the business to supply local retailers including greengrocers, newsagents, garden centres etc., as well as landscapers, wholesalers and other nurseries nationwide; taking on more staff and investing into new glass, equipment and infrastructure to meet these requirements.
OUR PRODUCTS
PHORMIUMS
A striking, multi- stemmed architectural foliage plant that makes a great feature in the garden, being especially well suited to coastal areas. All of our plants are propagated and grown on site and we have a great range of colours and forms - both well known classics as well as exciting new varieties- in several formats.
CORDYLINES
Another dramatic architectural plant, similar in appearance to a Phormium but with a single stem. Popular with landscapers, their mature form features a long stem with clumps of spiky foliage- bringing a touch of the exotic to any setting. We grow several varieties in complimentary colours, including the striking Pink varieties.
SHRUBS
We offer a range of shrubs, from classics like English Lavender varieties, Pittosporum and Griselinia, as well as more modern and exotic types such as Astelia and Lophomyrtus.
Bedding, Baskets & Pot plants
We grow a wide range of well known bedding plants, including Lobelia, Busy Lizzies and Begonias, pot plants such as Cyclamen and Geraniums, as well as our popular made-up hanging baskets and planters - including seasonal Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day arrangements, all of which we can supply locally using our van delivery service.
